 |  Do you think I could try to swallow a capsule?
Ok, capsules freak me out, I mean I just started swallowing pills since the surgery..which I almost a year out. Do you think I could do a capsule? I am not afraid of swallowing anything, I just don't want it to get stuck. And for some reason I am thinking we are not supposed to take capsules because they don't dissolve in time to release the meds? I could be way off on that one!
what do you think?

I was wondering the same thing myself. The Biotin I purchases from Bariactric Advantage is a capsule. I took one this morning and it went down fine but I was wondering if it will digest before it reaches the exit. LOL

In my material that I got from the Drs. office said not to take them because the dont have time to dissolve and they can also get stuck. It seems that some Drs. allow it, they never agree lol call your dr and see what they say I guess would be the saft thing to do.

no clue. my biotin is in a capsule. i also use cold meds in capsule form. no one ever told me not to LOL. i would be interested to hear that it "wont work" LOL. i would be the exceptin then...of course...

my doc gave me a antioboctic in capsule form two weeks ago for a gastric ulcer( by the way they suck, dumping, nausaus, pain) and i have been fine with it, the doc just told me not to take XR tablets ever agian becasue of disvole issues.

OK..I am going for it! I have a nasty case of THRUSH..go figure. Dr. said it was from my birth control (and I had a mild yeast infection last week,,sorry thats a little TMI). It hurts so bad, funny thing is I had a case of it after my WLS last year. I feel like a 6 week old baby..its soooo gross and painful. Its actually down my throat, on the roof of my mouth and of course my tongue. Never had it this bad before and I have 4 prescriptions for it. It came on Saturday late afternoon and exploded today. GEEZ, I just can't win sometimes! Funny thing is I told the Dr. NO capsule..liquid is best. I think she thought I said I wanted capsules. Ugh.
Thanks for the help...Look out capsules of Amoxi, here I come!

What if you open the capsules and stick it in pudding or applesauce or something and swallow it that way? Then don't drink for a while so it can absorb. I take most of my vits at night for that very reason, I figure it can lay around in my gut til 6 am.
