| Do you only lose the hair on your head??
The only place I have notice extreme hair loss is my head. I still have to shave my legs and underarms. Does anyone know why that is? Has any body noticed hair loss on their legs or underarms? Why just on my head? |

That's a really good (and funny) question. One that I don't know the answer to. Best I can figure is you probally do lose other body hair, but it's so short already that you don't notice it. Kinda like when there are alot of girls in the house then the sinks and tub clog up, but you don't seem to pull the short guy hairs out of the drain, only the long girl hairs. (Make sense?)

Although I was lucky not to experience the hair loss that some get. Another friend of mine said it had to do with the loss of fat in your scalp -- there's a layer of fat up there and when you lose you lose everywhere and that causes the hair loss. But I also think it has a lot to do with the amount of protein you keep in your diet the whole way. I'm sure the doc will give us a good understanding

My experience was that I lost hair from all over, and guys usually have more area from which to lose than you gals do. Lotsa hair in the drain trap, but never went bald or even close to it.
BTW - you do have a hair trap in your drain, don't you?

| Hair loss
I have a friend that was not so great at getting in her protein each day, and she lost lots of hair. As she improved her protein--it lessened her hair loss.
I bought loys of hair stuff, and I do K-pac protein spray to keep the hair stong. I've lost some, but not a ton of it.
Smiles,
B |

I haven't experienced any before I went back to shaving my head. Now that I am shaving my head the growth appears to be the same as it ever was except for a small area on my widows peak.

I thinned...but not bad...enough to notice it...I was taking BIOTIN religiously through the process....and it made the hair grow other places TWICE as fast...I was having to shave my legs/armpits CONSTANTLY....it NORMALLY kicks in around 50 pounds lost mark...and can continue for a while.....

Thanks for the info. Reastland where do you find the K-Pac at? I still have to shave alot but I guess I wouldn't notice if I was missing some hair on my legs or even my armpits. I am faithfully keeping up on my protein and it doesn't seem to be falling out as much, but has become really thin. Trulykath how did you know how much biotin to take?
