Question Protein/Carb/Fat Ratios...

I'm trying to keep a good balance of nutrients in my diet, and I'm wondering what people are doing for that in terms of protein/carb/fat percentages. I'm trying to stay at no more than 20% carbs, but my fats seem too high (sometimes 30%) if I eat even lowfat cheeses. I'm not losing as quickly as I would like to, but I'm on target for my goal. I'm just trying to get a general perspective.

Thanks!
Maggie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Protein first--60gs at least, then what veggies and carbs that you can manage.
Yes, keep your fat below 30%, around 25% if possible.

I don't really think of it in percentages, but in grams...I try to stay under 100 carbs, and shoot for no more than 10 grams of fat/day....

My "pea" brain works better in grams too, instead of percentages.

hahaha i'm with everyone else in that i don't do percentages - but measure in calories/carbs/and grams of proteins and fats. i eat around 800 calories per day, no more than 30 carbs, between foods and supplements have around 80 grams of protein a day and i don't count fats. i don't consume very many grams of fats in a day, and don't bother to count

I find that if I concentrate on getting the required amount of protein in, the rest (carbs, fat) seem to fall into place. I rarely go above 30% fat if I concentrate on getting my protein in.
