Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

We so often talk about our target weight as a "goal" when in reality it is more of a waypoint. A goal is a destination, a place to go to and be there and rest. A waypoint is a marker on the path, something to let you know that you are on the right road and making progress. Our goal weight is not the end of the journey, it's where the journey opens up for us.

For months we put all our thought and effort into hitting the "goal". But there is so much more of life beyond that! As lightweights, we have opportunities for activity, hobbies, and living in general that we didn't prior to the weight loss. The weight loss opens up for us the door to life.

If a person focuses on the "goal" too intensely, there is the possibility that the "what's next" isn't well-developed. I think that may be where you are, standing at the threshold of your dreams. What do you want to do with your life? What were you denied that hurt the most 134 pounds ago? What did you envy others doing that you couldn't?

Answer these, and you may have some ideas of what to do with the rest of the time you've just regained in your life.

Good luck. These aren't easy questions, but they'll take you wonderful places if you let them!

Perfesser said it like I've been feeling it lately. In becoming thinner, we are also experiencing life in different ways. I do have well-defined dreams, and I am now pursuing those with a vengeance. Life's too short to waste another moment of it! I still sometimes have those questions, though, like "Who am I now?", and "How will I manage this new way of living and relating to the world?" Heck, I still don't know what size I am from one day to the next with my body changing so much and so regularly! This journey we are on at this moment will mold us into what we will be in our future. That's how it is with all of our experiences. I agree that meeting a goal is just a waypoint where we re-group and get ready for the next part of our journey, which includes our next goal.

Look at it this way ~ you are free to do anything you want to do. It's totally your choice. You've done an amazing job getting to this point. Now it's time to enjoy your progress and to create the next leg of your journey.

Good Luck and Many Blessings!

Maggie

I don't really have anything else to add ... everyone else took the words right out of my mouth. the only thing I was going to add is that I have started doing things I have always wanted to do. In particular I have started to volunteer. I love it! I feel so good when I get home. I volunteered off anf on before but I have increased my time within my circumstances.

thanks for the replies, yes that has given me food for thought!! I guess for me its a balance as I have one foot in one country and one in the other, as my husband works in saudi and i spend a good deal of time there and that brings up severe limitations as to what i can do when im there as women dont work only teachers in english schools and medical staff, but perfesser i always wanted to learn to ride as my husband loves riding so maybe i should start there and relax more your right i think i focassed too hard on the end game maybe that will help others who are on this journey now with a way to go, thanks for all your help its hard for my husband to understand as he s not had to battle weight although i thank god for him and all his lovely support and understanding and of course his money that he was happy to invest in me, i will give it all some long thought. I really appreciate the advice when your on your own without your other half here theres noone to balance the thought process!!jxx

"The journey is the destination" as CraigT, the founder and host of this site puts it.
For so very long, your focus was on shedding the extra weight that you may not have a list of thins you want to do once you shed the weight handy.
Think back to when you were a school girl, you probably had a list of what you wanted to do when you grew up. Is there anything on there that's still viable? Doing things like riding with your DH sounds good. Checking off the list of your past dreams probably will help you find a direction too.
