Default getting in protien

Okay Ive tried everything and I cant get in protien. The second it hits my tounge it makes me sick. I dont no what to do. I have a hard time with any shakes before protein is added and Isopure leaves a really bad taste. Does anyone have a suggestion for me, ive tried pudding, isopure and powered protien to shakes

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Try using Calorie Countdown Chocolate milk with your protein powder, mix it with a banana and a few pieces of ice. Blend in a blender. This with mix the protein powder so well, you won't know its in there. The banana will help with the taste as well. This is what I have to do to be able to get one down.

Default Sorry Jlr

JLR,
I am sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time with the protein thing. I do wish I had some advice for you, but I don't. I do hope that you get lots of replies though to help you out a little. I am glad though, that you are not afraid to use this site for what it was meant for. Their are alot of good people here to see you through things like what you are going through. They all have been there for me plenty of times when, for example, I had the hangy skin blues. Keep pluggin along.
mike

p.s. that doesn't sound too bad though xsmith.

I would say try to get samples from other brands of protein shakes many sites would give you a free sample.....try all varities maybe even the fruit
brands. HONESTLY i couldnt stant isopure brand myself.

DO like shelley said use CALORIE COUNTDOWN CHOCOLATE MILK TO make it, throw in a banana, peanut butter or anything to achieve a delightful flavor. I like mine frozen like a milk shake these days! GO figure.

TRY to eat cheese, hard boiled eggs all those fun things with protein.
NUTS!!!!
JUST keep doing the best you can!
IT gets easier....in time.
I love the stallone protein puddings banana cream.
JUST got to find what works for your taste buds.

Talking Eas.....

.....EAS has a premade shake....
It's the best one I've found.....

At the beginning I was making my shakes with coconut (raw) and coconut extract....pineapple and vanilla.....a little pina colada....(virgin of course)~ That was the only thing that worked...and finally couldn't do those either.

The EAS shake is called Advant Edge - Carb control.
Lisa told me about them....I buy them online now...but you can get really cheap at walmart...or GNC.

Try the coffee flavor if you can find them....LOVE THEM...they are like a mocha latte!!

I'm in the same boat I can't find any that I like with my taste buds. I'll just keep trying different things though

Sorry you are having protein issues. I may have already posted this, but it's worth repeating. Kashi makes a cereal, I think it's called "Go Lean". It has 13 grams of protein in one cup. I put it in a baggie and bring it work to snack on. Or you could try it with skim milk and Splenda for extra protein.

BECCA??????
whats the situation and you having a scope?????
YOU really need to have one!!!!!!
I concern of you big time...i am thinking you
might have more issues then a ulcer perhaps
and the only way to know is a darn scope.
YOU need to eat solid foods and its very important
for the new plumbing to learn how to function
on real food verses mostly shakes. THIS is something
I know my surgeon pushes on patients. JUSt a suggestion
im not a medical expert. I know your frustrated with your
surgeon but you know what if you have a stricture like
another member here recently did?????? YOU need to be
checked!!! OKAY i have said my peace....

AS for the KASHI cereal wannabethin and SHELLEY, for me i love
the taste of the KASHI cereal, however, boy does it make me
toot a ton of gas (sorry and its an ebarassing stinky kind), like
all good foods you have to have it in moderation as the carbs
can creep in with a product like that.
BUT its still a good crunch with protein which we need!
