Question skin discoloration???

My co-worker had WLS 3 months ago. She has had a hard time with solid foods, but says she takes her supplements daily.

She told me today that she is noticing a darkening/discoloration of the skin of both her thumb and forefingers. She is hispanic. There is no pain and there is no history of trauma to the area. She asked if I knew if such was an indication of a deficiency of some sort. I told here I didn't know, but would throw it y'alls way to see if anyone else is familiar with it.

Thanks!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

How's her labs?
Also, where on the fingers? For instance, if it's at the joints, then it could be that with the melting fat, there's more folds at the joints, which will naturally make the area seem darker.
Can't say much, though, without a look see, and more details

I was thinking about this overnight. I know you ladies do mamograms. Do you think it has somthing to do with how she holds the films? I dont know if your hosptial produces them acutally on film anymore like they used to or if its all digital imaging sent around. Of course I know some need copys of film and some times they are still placed on the film it self. Could they have changed the film it self since they dont use the film as much? I know a Dr I worked for once who was on the board of directors once for a hosptial told me the old film they melt down after so many years for the lead in it. I learned that after having to take back years of films we kept on file at our office and then decided they no longer needed it. Yes just a few packs of film that is developed are very heavy needless to say. Perhaps ask her that question about the film it self and have her self watch how she pulls it out even if its from a different facility. Mabye that is it? I dont know just guessing since its a thumb and forefinger. I wouldnt think its anything to do with the CDs they like sending around now but perhaps? I dont know keep us up to date on this. I would love to know the result.
