Question vitamin tabs question..

I am just wondering....how soon after surgery can we start taking vitamins in pill form such as fish oil tablets and such?
I see that some of you do and want to know if I can. I want to start taking fish oil soft gel tablets.

What other vitamins do some of you recommend?
Right now I am taking Centrum chewable multi vitamins(LOVE),vitaminC chewables, and liquid calcium citrate.
Thanks. Big hugs and kissies

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I take all my vitamins except my Centrum in pill form and have no problem. If I think they are to big I just use a pill cutter to cut them in half. My Centrum are chewables.

You know they had me taking them while I was in the hosptial. I took a spray kinda.

Fish oil is really good for you bone joints heart etc...... alot of Docs remcommend it.

I you question if your ready for it make a call.

Something new on the market is the Mega Red Krill Oil. Its fish oil but one small soft gel compared to 3 large gels a day. Its new yes but I tell you I like it already.

Good luck with this.

My surgeon gave me clearance to take "normal" vitamin/minerals after my 3 month check.

i still take bariatric advantage multiple vitamins that are chewables. i suggest you talk with your surgeon as to when it is a good idea to take vitamins that are swallowed not chewed. i think i was about a year out when i started taking centrum calcium citrate petites. for fish oil i take this great form of omega 3 that i get at GNC ~ called Coromega, it is in little packets like ketchup comes in, is orange flavored. the D3 i take is from Bariatric Advantage and it is a capsule. i also take a Biotin mix called GNC Hair, Skin & Nails that is swallowed, not chewed.

They sent me home from the hospital with gigantic pain pills! I was swallowing those without problems so I figured vitamins and supplements would go down OK too. I prefer the Flintston's Complete chewables. Two of those a day are equal to an adult multivitamin and I like them better.
