Hi everyone, this is my first time chatting but i've had the surgery done over 2 years ago and I've never attended a support group meeting. I hope I can get some questions answered. Do any of you find yourself binging and going back to the old habits?

thanks

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome VIC.. glad you found the site, it has been so helpful to me. I unfortunatly can not answer you question because I just had the surgery two months ago. But there are plenty of people that can and will answer this question for you and any others you might have.
Again Welcome and look forward to getting to know you

WELL VIC...i am about 16 months out
and see that behavior creeping in and im terrified.
IT scares me that i can eat more, i dont dump
and i see old habits shineing thru. IM terrified with
holiday season here and the goodies. LAST year i had
no desire to touch anything. THIS year its falling
on my will power and i am caving!

ITS not easy!
FEEL free to talk about anything
and i look forward to getting to know you thru your posts.

Welcome to the board vic.
It's not easy to do this journey alone.
Best if you check into a support group in your vicinity, and keep coming back here as often as you can.
Staying in touch with others on the same journey, and keeping accountable with each other, is the best way to prevent yourself from getting off track.

Welcome, Vic! I'm almost 3 months post-op right now, so I'm not having that problem yet. But, from everything I hear frommost people on here, it's a battle that we all have to fight the further out we get. You will certainly get a lot of support on here to help you out. I live a long way from the support meetings, too, so haven't been to one. This board sure helps, though.

Vic... welcome to the "group". I'm only 2 months post op and I have two ways of thinking.
1. when my hubby is eating junk... I want junk... specially a sub. For some reason I'm craving a sub like nothing else!
2. Then I think... "nothing tastes as good as thin feels"... and say. don't need it... don't want it" and I'll do something to preoccupy my time.

We really have to change the way our minds process thoughts as our body learns to process the foods. I can't really eat solids yet so I'm not at your point... but do with you the inner strenght to overcome those old NASTY habits.

Good luck and again, welcome.

thank you for the response. this is my 1st timing chatting (LOL). I remember when I was 2 months out! congratulations! I have to contact my surgeon and start attending some meetings. I've lost 95% of my weight but my old habits are haunting me.

Welcome Vic,
Yes I think a few of us here know exactally what you mean with the old habits. I am almost 16 mo out and have seen some of the old habits start to come out again. I have been trying really hard to get back on track and make the best choices possible for me.
