Default Hey Doc, having issues

I am almost 3 years out now

starting having this problem some months ago. not on a regular basis:

I can be laying down or just sitting when I get this disoriented feeling sort of like i'm going to pass out. It is also followed by nausia sometimes. It happened the other night after I went to bed. I got up and felt "drunk"

any ideas?

TIA
Michele

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

michele - will be interesting to see Doc's take on this - occasionally i have the same thing to happen. not necessarily when just sitting still but if i get up too quickly that will happen that i get dizzy. the other day we were at an event in connection with the All Star Baseball game here in saint louis where we were standing in line for about an hour and a half and i started getting really light headed and feeling nauseous.

by the way ~ it has been great seeing you posting again - have missed a lot of the oldies around here!!!

How are your labs?
Taking your supplements as you should?
Blood pressure? (Not too low?) Orthostatic/postural hypotension.
Your pulse? Slow/fast/irregular?

What was the last thing you ate before going to bed? You may have experienced delayed dumping.

This could have been a combo of dehydration and orthostatic/postural hypotension.

hey earthy girl!
I've been having a lot of that lately myself...in OKLA the heat has been over 100 degrees and with my anemia and low white counts I just stay cold feeling..so I tend to not pay attention to the heat..it just feels good to me LOL! AND I've been cutting down on caffeine intake which has made me remember why I did caffeine in the first place...LOW BP!!

so now I keep getting those drops and stand up even rather slowly..black spots and dizzy..yikers!!

I get that way when I get a sudden drop in blood sugar. All those years with high sugar and now its normal but I have been having episodes like that and when I checked my sugar it was 60.

Me too. I did it last nite, woke up with what felt like rapid heart rate and feeling "flighty" for lack of a better term. I had my BP cuff handy so I too my BP - 138/77, pulse was 74. Then I waited a few minutes and it went back to normal ~ 117/76 ish. I still felt jittery so I got a protein bar then I went back to sleep. It felt like delayed dumping, I had been hungry about an hour before and had a tiny bit of shredded wheat in warm milk and that'll get me most of the time.

Bree ~ what's up with the WBC being low? Mine was too last time I had labs done and I haven't had it rechecked but I never got any real answers as to why it was low. Dr didn't seem too shook about it. I will be having labs done for my surgery in a couple of weeks so I'll see what it is now, but was wondering if it's directly related to RNY.
