Default haven't seen much change

I recently had rny surgery done on july 6 2009, when i went into surgery i was at 322lbs, i went back to the doc to get my staples removed on july 13 2009 and i was at 298. I couldn't believe the weight i lost in one week but now it is july 23 and i am at around 295. i have been following my diet to a t and have been drinking my protein shakes and taking all my meds. I am walking 2 miles a day every day but i figured to see more change in weight. Is this common since i lost so much the first week? I feel great just wanting to know if i am on the right track.

thanks,
wpowell

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

CT is right ~ you're just in the healing stage right now. Did you do your measurements? Please do, it was so great to follow post op, especially during stalls, it's a great encouragement when the scale refuses to move. Welcome, btw, glad you've joined us

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Congratulations on joining the Losers' Bench.
(((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

You're only a few weeks out. Plus, YOU are going to be the LAST person to see your own change.
Despite the number of lbs, the first few months, the difference will seem small. The 27lbs you've lost is 8% of your starting weight. Say you lose the same amount in the next 3 weeks. The total lost will be 54lbs, and the total loss rate will be 17% against your starting weight. You will be able to see a better difference then.
Just be patient. As clancy says, even if you can't *see* the difference, your clothes should be getting looser. That is as good a way to measure how your going is, the scale is not the only barometer.

It is so funny cause I was just saying the same thing to myself. I lost 20lbs in days and nothing since. I follow everything I was told to a T as well but not cleared for exercise yet. Thank you for posting this. I was worried I was gonna lose.

My surgery date was in May of 2008- I've lost all the weight I've wanted and have stopped losing, however I'm still dropping in size. Before surgery, I was a size 24- 1 month ago I was a size 10 and today I'm a size 8- I've been working out and walking a lot. It's amazing... after a year and my body is still changing- incredible!
