Hey all,

Haven't posted in awhile so I thought I was due for a stupid question.

So I'm not sure if it's my diet, or not getting enough liquids or what, but I've been feeling constipated lately. Doc also had me start taking Ferrous Sulfate to get more iron which he said could cause it too. Any good cures out there? Over the counter or otherwise?

Thanks in advance!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Smooth Move Tea. I take it about once a week, although it definitely unblocks you so be careful the first time you try it. I got it from GNC and I have the chocolate flavor, goes down nice and works.

Hi. I have had a lot of problems with this. I make sure to drink extra water to keep things 'flowing', and the dr. is having me take daily fiber supplement. I get it from Walmart. It is called Equate Fiber Therapy. It is orange flavor and surprisingly good. As it thickens you can almost think of it as jello, or add it to milk/protein powder/yogurt/ice for a smoothie! It does really help but I have to remember to take it at least every other day. I look forward to it like a dessert or treat! Hope this helps. Take care.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LITTLE PROB. YOU HAVE. To be honest here, I was going to post that very same thing, but never got up the nerve. I didn't know how to word it. lol I am not sure what to do either. I think cabbie is right though, I have heard of that also. NEVER TRIED IT MYSELF. You will have to let me know if it works, if you decide to try it. I CERTAINLY NEED HELP ALSO. LOL Well, not a laughing matter if you have ever gotten that way. lol

Hey Mike,

No need to be embarrassed here. Chances are if you're experiencing something post-surgery, someone here has already been through it and knows how to deal with it.

Thanks cabbie and shelia for the ideas. I'll give it a try!

I hear people swear by the Smooth Move tea but just cant bring myself to drink it. So I take a corectol about once a week. That seems to take care of everything for me and doesn't give me diarreah either. Hope you find something that will work well for you.

I have never tried the smooth move but this might sound wierd but all I have to do is have a cupful or so of applesauce. I am not sure what it is about the sauce but it works. Now that could just be me but it works and i always have a jar in the pantry. (hehehe)
Just a thought., The tea might be a good thing to have anyway..just in case.

I am more like Lisa and use sugar alcohols to clean my system periodically. You have maybe read one of my posts before confessing that chocolate has that effect on me at times and I think it is yummier than the stool softener I used to take.
