I think this has been addressed before but thought I would ask again for some reassurance. I'm 15 days post op today and the last few days I've noticed I get a bit of light headed when standing up. My blood pressure has never been high - usually around 124/80 and I've never been on meds. I know at my last appt my blood pressure was like 110/74 I'm drinking like 72 ounces of fluid a day so I don't think dehydration is the culprit. Taking all my supplements and such... any advice. From what I've researched it seems normal after GBS but you all make me feel so much better when I ask questions.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Probally Orthostatic Hypotension. Meaning your blood pressure drops upon standing or sittng up to fast. Take your time on both accounts. You will probally get it when bending over and standing up to. You just gotta take your time doing things like that and take it slower. WHen you go to your next Drs Visit ask about it. So they can make certian nothing else is doing it.

I hope this helps..... Just think about standing up or sitting up now for a while and slow down. It will help alot.

I had this big time. It got better with time. Make sure you sit on edge of bed before getting up for a minute and then get up and stand still for a few seconds. It gets better as your body adjusts.

Peanut was feeling pretty woozy when she stood up too, so on this vacation she took herself off the BP meds and has had no problems. Got home last night, took her BP, it was good. Looks like one more med is history!!

Your rapid weight loss throws your circulation balance out of kilters for a while, resulting in orthostatic/postural hypotension. Once your weight stabilises, it will get better.
