OK, I have been trying to fight this thing off drinking hot tea and wrapping up. is there anything otc I can take? I hate to call the doc about it cause every time i sneeze he wants me to come in.

Here's a list of meds you can take, Link.
There were some posts about eucalyptus oil (dropped in hot water, and breath the vapor) too, good for allergies and stuffy nose, but it'll have to be dug up.
It is best, though to call your dr and ask first.
You're still not a year out, so basically, surgeons will be careful about how you are doing. That way, they can catch early if anything seriousl does develop. Better be sure now than be sorry later.

have suggested.
RUN all meds past your surgeon for
approval. SOME arent pouch friendly.

wellllllllllllllllll I now have the full blown dry coughing, runny nose, sneezing,fever thingie. Good news is the sore throats gone 
Doc can't see me til next week. told me to do the tylonol liquid thing til I can get in.

I have been feeling really bad too. Sore throat, congestion, headaches and tired all the time. Thanks for posting this I really need that link with the meds that are OK to take. I hope you feel better soon.

ITS the time of year for all that to go around.
ACTUALLY, im suffering a terrble headache tonight and just took

It is that time of year again for sore throats, colds and the flu. I got my flu shot a few weeks ago and I hope it helps but cannot get rid of these sniffles. My granddaughter just got over a terrible cold.
Hope that everyone gets through the season healthy.

Okay so my whole issue has been the phlegm issue, but at least it keeps my appetite under tight control through the holiday season and caused another whooosh on the scale. Reminds me of the quote from Devil Wears Prada about being one good flu away from another size.
