| I got weighed today and I only lost 2 pounds in one whole month. Geeez I am feeling very emotional right now., I could just cry. My surgeon seems to think that I should have been down another 10 pounds or so and that it is too early to slow down in my weight loss. I am to go back in two weeks to go over a journal I have to keep. Oh well just wanted to share...now I have to get through Thanksgiving. Well onward I go to keep that journal to prove to him what I am doing., and not doing. Happy turkey day everyone., robbin

| Super Moderator | (((((HUGS))))) Everyone loses at a different rate. Who knows, you may lose 20lb the next month, and you'll be on track according to your surgeon's schedule. Who knows, your surgeon telling you that way may be exactly the stress that is causing you to retain your weight. Just be grateful that you can't eat everything on the table this year, that you were able to, last year. Enjoy the conversation flowing around you, instead of watching the food. I'm sure you'll do fine, ((((((HUGS)))))) again.

| I always keep a journal, everyday. I just never think to take it with me. Now I wish I would have. Your right and even though I was In TOM I cannot beleave that would keep me retain that much weight. Although this one went 69 days since my last cycle. It was bound to happen that I would have a major stahl., but I just wasn't ready for it...LOL I go back in 2 weeks to show him this journal etc., we will see what happens then. maybe like you said things will catch up with me. I still feel good, and my clothes fit so differently., I can only know that something has changed., and even he commented how much better I look. Oh well, Stress will never go away!!!!!!! Off to get the turkey ready...and cauliflower., and mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce, and everything else i have to work so very hard to keep away from. Should not be to hard after yesterday...hehehehe. Thank you and have a great holiday,,,,"gobble gobble"...robbin

| Super Moderator | Okay, so I have to say, menopause is a b***h when it comes to body weight, sheesh. My personal experience. (Now, I have no weight issue per se, but, anyway.) About 7-8 years ago, my cycle started to change--and I started to gain and was up more than 10lb from my longtime weight, so I started to do daily 1hr walks...about 5 miles at a fast clip. I lost the 10 and and a few plus over the next 6 mo, and stayed there for a couple of years. My cycle went back to what it used to be, with the exercise also, and stayed that way for another couple of years. 5 years ago, a new gym came into business about 10 mins from where I live, and I had felt the need for resistance training as well as cardio exercise so I switched to gym workout twice a week plus once a week tennis lessons. My cycle started to change again (this time, it was permanent) and though I had not changed my exercise schedule since the switch to the gym, my weight is slowly climbing up...have gained back about 5lb in the past 3 years, but I have more muscle than before, so, that's not so bad. I have watched patients, friends and family members going through this unavoidable life stage, and here is the conclusion I have come to. Weight gain is not easy to avoid at this time of life (of course, with those who have had WLS recently, it shouldn't lead to weight gain, but it possibly could slow down your weightloss, but don't panic), but with those who exercise regularly and eat healthy, and keep on track there, will go back to their original weight a few years after their cycle completely stops. So, I am banking on that (I have a couple of years yet to get to that point) and keeping up with my exercise, and eating healthy.

| Thanks Doc., I truly believe my age is against me in some things. I am off to a new week and hope to prove to my doctor as well as to myself that all is well in these next two weeks. I am sure of that. I put on a pair of jeans today that I wore only 2 weeks ago and they would not stay up!!!! Good for me...just a good thing to get my mind back on the right track. Thanks to you too Mike., it was a rough night for me last night., and for my husband and son, they got the brunt of my disappointment and worries. Eric (my son) says Mom that is two more pounds off...you lost 71 pounds in 6 months...geeeez. he was right, I have lost alot of weight. It was bound to happen but now I am on to another 10 pounds off before the end of the year. Not a bad goal...and my poor treadmill will be hummin!!!! I didn't do too too bad today. It was something new though sitting through dinner and watching everyone eat., I took bites here and there. It was OK though. It is almost friday...yup....it is here....ROBBIN
