Default What to get?

WLS date is this Friday the 8th. Just wondering what I should have on hand at the house upon my return from hospital. Is there a multi-vitamin anyone can recommend that will be easy on the new pouch? Childrens chewables may sound like the way to go. Any input on things I should have will be appreciated.....thanks

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Liquid vits are another choice, and might be easier, especially immediately post op.

Moving this to the Stupid Qs where this Q is better appreciated and noticed, hope you won't mind.

i would personally suggest the centrum chewables, as right after surgery your going to have trouble with desireing the sweetness in the childrens vitamins..

as far as what else you might need i need to konw what stage your going to be on with foods when you get home to help. EVERY sugeon has a different protocal. SOME come home on purees others can be on clear liquids.
IF i konw i can give u tons of ideas.
THANKS
hugz and good luck
lisa

Hi! I'll be praying for a safe, successful surgery for you! I came home on full liquids (ones you couldn't see through). My surgeon had me on Centrum Chewables for vitamins. For protein the dietician told me about Beneprotein powder. The hospital store and Walgreens had it. It is mixable with pretty much everything--soup, mashed potatoes, or drinks, juices, oatmeal ect.. After the surgery I was so surprised how I just wasn't interested in eating or food!! It was wonderful!! Keep us posted how you're doing! Take care!

SHELIAMAE,
ISNT that the best feeling when food
didnt much interest you anymore just after
surgery. I loved that stage and never could
understand it being i didnt have brain surgery
but loved it.
I dont have that as much now, food is back
like it used to be so now i have to rely alot
on my good choices...and repeating over and
over when tempted:

NOTHIN TASTES as GOOD as THIN FEELS!
