Default Another question for Doc?

Hey Doc, I had an appt today for St.Louis but had to cancel cause of the weather...re-schedule next Tues....
I have been at my hometown ER twice since my hernia(s) and bowel abstruction surgery and now I have a pin like pain under my rib...it hurts when I bend, sit at times, walking (really painful), they did ex-rays on the second visit to the ER and was told by a few they saw something but when the doctor came in after viewing the x-rays he said there is nothing....Some ppl thinking they may have left something inside of me...knowing this maybe the cause of my pain was just wanting to know some of your guys view point on this...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey Belle,
I see you are going to be here on Tuesday. Maybe we can meet up before or after your appointment. I hope you are doing much better. I haven't seen you post in quite a while.

Awww (((((((HUGS)))))))))

There are a number of possibilities.
One is yes, something may have been left. Everything used in surgery is either made of radio-opaque (does not pass X ray through) material, or labeled with radio-opaque paint or clips, so they will show up on X rays.
Another is that you have a new adhesion in the area you are having pain. The membranes of your abdominal cavity and your guts got stuck together because of the repeted surgery in a relatively short time span.
Or, the pain could be from a nerve that has been cut, or regenerating. With this, it will take time, but it should slowly get better.

These are the three possibilities that come immediately to my mind.
However, your surgeon is the person to speak to, and have you checked out, so whatever doubts you have, be sure to tell here EVERY LITTLE THING.
Hope she gets to the bottom of this, soon, and you brand new by the time Christmas rolls around.

Default hey belle!

I am sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. I hope that it is nothing serious. Everyone is right though. NO PAIN SHOULD GO UNADDRESSED. Something is wrong. Who knows their own body better than the one living in it. TALK TO YOUR SURGEON. The sooner the better I think. Keep us posted. mike
