Question Hey Deb (and anyone else)- what are foamies?

It really sounds like it's on the ickish side of things. You know how you don't like the sound of some words? Foamies just sounds nasty!

Do tell, girlfriend. BTW, did you EVER get my phone message?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

THOUGHT i would chime in and help out here about foamies.
I am sure different folks have it for different times.

I had foamies the first 13 months approximately.
FOR me, and im sure we are all different. foamies
was what I threw up at the beginning. WEATHER
i was eating to fast or to much i was never fully
sure but i would feel icky and thats mostly what
would come out. I will say honestly mine went away
when i went on NEXIUM for a bleeding ucler
so i know it has to do with the stomach juices
and acids......it wasnt to bad for me yet I am
the type that has no problem throwing up when
i dont like how the food post op sits. I have to
say some weeks im a professional .

GOOD luck, and i do know many people who never
experience this at all. I know i did but lean towards
something to do with why at 13 months out i had a
bleeding ucler. I guess tums wasnt enough for me
now i stay on OC previcid and i have no signs
of these issues. So makes me think tons
but not fully sure what caused them the fast
eating or just that i needed to be on something
stronger then tums post op.

DOES your surgeon have his patients on any antiacid
products? many go on previcid or tums to combat this
sort of thing. I will also add pre op i never had any
acid reflux or issues of that kind at all.
all the best

I didn't throw up easily before or after WLS. The foamies for me is when I don't chew things propperly and instead of everything coming up, this slimy foamie stuff comes out instead of vomit. It doesn't taste like vomit but like whatever it is that you ate. It takes the tar and vinegar out of me after from all the dry heaving involved in between the 'bouts of foam.
Chances are...you will one day find out on your own, all though I hope that you don't!

Talking Tina!!

Sorry T....
Left ya hanging...but Lisa's discription is very accurate...so is Kat's!!

YES!! I finally got to hear your sweet voice on my msg's....and am planning on giving you a ring this week when life calms down.
I'm having a sweet friend over for lunch today....so I'm up early CLEANING...mostly....my party on Saturday & house guests left the house rather disrupted!! LOL.

Soooooo....Kitchen is cleaned...and now to get all the "stuff" back in it's rightful place! She doesn't arrive until 10:30 thankfully....so, I have plenty of time for a little morning snooze - which I'm about to take...as I'm not typing so well...or cleaning! LOL.

Hopefully I will be on the boards more this week...b/c next week I'll be in Michigan...and although I'll have my laptop...I know my MIL lives in there boonies...and there will be no internet wifi to piggyback! LOL.....

Talk to you soon sweet T!!!

s.belle~
