It's a piece of empty carbs shaped in a convenient tiny package to tempt newbies to eat something with minimal nutritional value.

funny the 1 thing I tried that I thought would kill me was chilli, boy a little bit goes a long way and it made me feel so happy to be able to eat it and feel that i had something substantial in my pouch! Pasta makes me feel very tired after I eat it never was a big fan to begin with but when you go to someones house for dinner you have to eat what they serve( or so my Mum drilled into me) At least with the chilli there is more nutritional value and if you make it yourself you now exactly what goes into it.

Best to stay away from processed carbs. Especially early out.
Pastas in any form, as well as bread and rice, can swell in your pouch and block it and make you feel uncomfortable.
Since they are carbs, they can also cause dumping. Jodi's tired feeling after pasta is actually dumping, so best to avoid it.
Eating is very very hard in many ways the first 6 months or so. You think you've learned to deal with one thing, then something else comes up. It is soo many trials and errors. However, you need to set up the good eating habits to last the rest of your life through during the first year, so hang in there, no matter how hard it seems. If, by chance you fall off track, quickly pick yourself up, dust your hands, and get back on track. Learn not to beat yourself up over it, not to go intoy a pity party, but just say, okay, what's done is done, but that doesn't mean I'm done, I can still go ahead, and keep going ahead.

Yep any way you look at it ......its still pasta. Doc is so right along with the others. I seen that post to and I dont remember who it was but its not a good idea. Its one of those things you will need to really wait and do when your much further out and then try it. I think you will find you wont enjoy it like you used to. I know I dont. My husband loves spaghetti. I will rarely eat it. He can fix plenty and used to get upset if I didnt atleast try it....... adding meat to it thinking it would be just fine.
If I eat it I dont want meat with it. I can do a baked spaghetti but only a tiny bit. Yea like a whole tablespoon total. Makes my pouch feel not really good but not sick either. So dont push it honey. Its like almost sabatobing yourself in a way.
Stay away from processed foods. That is my best advice to anyone. That does including those little frozen dinners later. Leave em on the shelf.
