| Losing has stopped!
I am a little confused and concerned...For the last week I have not lost any weight at all. I am supposed to see my surgeon in two days, and I am worried he is going to think I am doing something wrong. I have been really trying hard to stick to things, but I do admit I am still not getting enough protein in and for a couple days I kept forgetting if I ate or not so would have some lunch meat just to be sure.
Is that really bad enough for me to stop losing though? Is it possible to have a stall this early out? Should I be concerned? I am really worried!

This is perfectly normal. Some weeks you'll actually go up a pound or 2 but it will eventually come off. Try to get your protein in. I found that the closer I got to getting my daily protein the easier the weight seems to come off. You're doing an AMAZING job with your weight loss!!!!

44# in less than a month is great!!! Your body is probably trying to adjust to such a big drop. I was told not to worry about little stalls, like a week or two. I went 2 months teetering between 200 and 208, but just got beloww 200 today. I found my inspiration on this site. So you are in the right place. GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS. Vicki

Ok girlie....... that scale! LOL. Your gonna be fine. Its normal you know that from reading on here.
PS the lunch meat is a good idea but make sure its not processed. Choose lean ham or turkey. You will know what I mean some of the ham is even processed. Remember processed is bad bad.

| Nicole, it is totally normal. At 3 weeks out I didn't lose a pound for a whole week, then the next week I dropped 5 or 6. At my one month appt my dietition told me not to expect to lose the same amount of weight I did in the first month from here on out. Boy was she right. I lost about 14 during the 2 weeks preop, about 25 or so in the first 4 weeks post op, then only 10 in the last 5 weeks. I've been stalled for about a week and a half at this point. I know that is normal, but it still frustrates me. Don't worry, the scale will move again soon, and your Dr won't be dissapointed, you are doing GREAT!!

Your body still has lots of healing and readjusting and realigning to do.
Give it time to catch up with what's going on.
You'll lose in humps and bumps, so don't fret about them, it's the overall picture that's important, and at this point, only a tinsy winsy bit of it is being revealed. It wil all come in good time, so don't worry about your surgeon, either.
Hang in there (((HUGS)))

Peanut is almost 11 months out, and was stalled for the last 2-3 months. She thought she might be at goal, but her body's readjusted whatever it was doing and she's lost 5 pounds in the last 10 days. Stalls are normal. Stalls are when you lose size. Get used to them and welcome them as part of the process, 'cause you're gonna have 'em regardless!!

That would stress me out too. One suggestion I have (and I'm pre-op but I'm pulling this from my years of dieting), put way the scale I know it's hard and I know I'm going to need to practice what I preach, BUT, it looks from your stats like you're weighing yourself every 4 days? I'd try putting away the scale - hard as it is - and weighing yourself minimum once a week but better every 2 weeks.

When ever I am in a stall I increase my protein and drinks a lot of water. That is very important. I found a article on protein and weight loss on unjury protein web site. It made a lot of sence.
Be sure to get all the recommended protein and water in. Don't think that if you don't eat you will lose weight faster because just the opposite happens. Our body will go in starvation mode and hold on to the fat thinking your starving it.
Well that's my opinion...LOL!
Hope that helps.
plus remember as everyone says stalls are normal. Don't get all worked up but use this as a time to evaluate what you are and aren't doing. Plus what you could be doing better. That's what I do.
Big hugs♥
