Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Fruit is not a good choice for snacking for posties in my OWN opinion. It's too carby and has too much natural sugars and sets off the whole 'wanting to eat' drive that is still in us.

Protein, even for snacking IS the best choice, then Veggies.

The thing is this..You HAVE to keep that protein level of intake UP constantly. so if you find that you are snacking more, change the choices. Protein is more filling, it's also going to keep you more satisfied longer too.

Plus you might want to look at the 'whys' of the snacking? Are you bored? lonely? feeling needy? Perhaps your blood sugar is low and that's why you continue in the fruit snacking? If that's it, eat more often--PROTEIN FIRST.

Sometimes it really is a simple change or a simple answer. Sometimes not. The more carby you eat the less motivated you will be, the more 'hungry' feeling you'll feel and therein begins that slide back into old habits.

Try journaling too about when you are wanting to snack. Sometimes our own answers come from that.

You can get back on track!

BreeChick's given you wonderful advice.
It's essential that you get into a habit of regular exercise. It doesn't have to be going to the gym, just making sure you take regular brisk walks is good for starters. Riding bicycles, swimming, walking the dog, dancing, whatever. At first, it may take a lot to get your butt moving, but once you get into the habit, it will be smooth sailing.

I agree.... once you get into the habit of working out, you'll feel guilty if you don't! Find something to do that you ENJOY. I started out with riding the stationery bike and doing some weight training. That got boring to me and I slacked off. Then I discovered Zumba and water aerobics. To me, that's a better option. The workout is an hour long, and you're so busy having fun that you don't really notice that you're working out! It's a nice distraction. I still throw in a little bike ride or weight training here and there...but my primary workout comes from the Zumba dancing.

As for the snacking, like Bree said. Get into the habit of grabbing a protein snack. Keep those things handy so that it'll be easier to grab the RIGHT kind of snack. I keep cheese, protein shakes, protein bars, etc with me at work so that I don't stray to the snack machine when I feel "snacky."

Hang in there, you'll get back into the swing of things!

eating carbs tends to make you want more carbs once you get off the carb high, kind of a vicious cycle ~ protein doesn't do that to you. Sounds like you're making good progress ~ you're aware of your choices and working to make smart ones ~ congrats on your success so far

Walking the dog worked to get me going, she lost weight too. Live by the rules of eating. Sometimes I don't even want to eat yet know I have to. Besides the munching urges are you keeping up with your supplements? Hope you feel better about things

cheese cubes, jerky bites (theyre softer than the strips that look like dog chews), nuts, fat free milk( count as food since it has calories and carbs), pork skins in moderation. I still have a sweet tooth so I carry chunky peanut butter and a spoon, and on occasion, a couple of squares of sugar free choclate (gotta watch the sugar alcohol, it will send you running to the commode).
