Does anyone know where I can find a scale that goes high enough to weigh me until I get a lot lower?

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My double-beam balance scale (the kind they used to have in all the doctors' offices) weighs accurately to 450. Don't worry about the weight shown - that was taken the day I broke through my surgeon's goal for me!
I found it on eBay in the Health & Beauty section.

Another idea is...weigh only at your dr's office in the beginning...the scales are guaranteed to drive you crazy. Make how your clothes fit the measure of how well you are doing. Once you get down enough, you can get a scale.
