| Cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese?
Whats the real difference between the two? I noticed that cottage cheese has more protein in it. Yet u see more people on this site eat Ricotta.

two very different forms of cheese.
I can cottage cheese plain...
riccotta cheese is used more in
italian dishes and needs other
things to eat plain.
BUT its a taste thing...maybe KAT
can answer from a chefs point of view!!!

There probably is a difference in fat content. Take a look at the label. Various cheese have different fat contents. The smoother and softer they are, the more fat they have, is the standard. So, look for low fat or fat free cheese, it's better for you.

I prefer cottage cheese to eat plain or with a tomato and sometimes use the ricotta cheese in a dish

| Hey There!
For sure, cottage cheese. The one, and only time I eat ricotta, is in stuffed shells. They are GREAT! I don't really eat them anymore though, since I can eat alot more now. They are high in certain things. lol I SURE MISS THEM. I will have to wait for a special occasion, so I have an excuse. LOL LOL Valentine's Day is coming up. LOL

LOL Mike!
I have been eating both. I love cottage cheese with scallions cut up in it, salt and pepper.
I do the strawberry and splenda thing with both
I also do a mock lasagna with ricotta, using eggplant as my "noodles"
