I was gonna say talk to one of the fellas on here and CT come on out and spoke. Thanks CT for that. I have to ask you this....... are you very tired? Like exhausted when yo do come home and what you want is just to go relax and rest? That is what i was like for at least 6 months after mine. However my husband understood because I delt with some issues with my surgery itself. Just think about maybe what it is....... and go from there. Remember your not winning a war here just a battle and one at a time.

| Intimacy
Is anyone having issues with their spouses being extremly horney? My husband is driving me nuts. My lust levels are low and I don't know if its a side effect from the surgery or just a normal low. But sometimes I just want to sleep someplace alone. Any help here. I know it's funny but it's true.

From his point of view, he has a wife with a new body and he wants to find out how well it works. From your point of view, you are still not recovered fully from your surgery, and even though you're getting skinnier and sexier, you just don't feel like doing anything with it. Are his requests more frequent than they were pre-op, or do you just notice it more now since you're down?
Low libido is not an uncommon side effect following surgery. Are you on any meds that might contribute to this? Just like MsVickie said a few posts up, there are lots of things to check out.
It really isn't funny. Rejection is hard for either spouse to accept, especially if it's not fully understood. At times like this, having open lines of communication between you is critical.
Good luck!

merrynail, my hubby had the sleeve 5 month ago on the 28th and he is ALWAYS reading, willing and able. Seriously, it doesnt take much to arouse him...almost like he's a teenage boy with raging hormones again. Im not complaining though, Ive had a blast rediscovering HIM and am LOVING his stamina, lol...one of the perks of the weightloss.

| I did at first. It wasn't until 4-5 months after surgery I got my sex drive back. I think it is natural for your sex drive to decrease. After all your body underwent a major surgery and it takes time for your body to heal. My sex drive is back in full force. My poor husband can't keep up with me since I am 29 and he will be 39 end of May this year.

| Very stupid question....
For those of you who already had GB, how long after surgery were you able to resume intimacy with your partner without having to worry about your abdomen? Or did you just search for different ways of doing things? Sorry for the candid question.

Not a stupid question at all, for me it was about 2 weeks. The key is no matter how soon it is, if it hurts stop, otherwise, enjoy!! |
