Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

This board is active 24/7/365(or 366 in leap years) so don't you worry, there is always someone around to make it through together.
When the time comes around, there is sure to be threads popping up on how to deal, or how people are dealing with, the holiday season.

HEY JERRY for me the holidays come easier being i just cant eat the protions i used to and i follow my posted 3 bite rule:

WHEN the holiday season comes and when faced with foods we really shouldn't eat...sweet potato casserole, grandma's stuffing or the desserts calling our name...try to focus on the three bite rule to get through the holiday.

The First Bite is to get a good taste.

The Second Bite is to verify it was as good as we thought it would be.

The Third Bite is the LAST BITE, so savour it.

GOOD LUCK and also plan ahead to be prepared! MAKE sure there are plenty of protein snacks on hand for you !!!

Lisa, I love it! That's a great idea!

Hello Jerry! Welcome! You will find a lot of support here, as well as great info!
I'm only 4 months post op and I have wondered about the holidays as well.
I think we have all gotten into the shape we are in (or WAS in) because we LOVE to eat!
I do believe, however, that it might not be as hard as I first imagined. I can eat, I just can't eat a LOT! I try to make wise choices and will continue to do that even over the holidays, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I "fall off the wagon"! We just get up, dust off, and try again.
I love the 3 bite rule!

It's not like you MUST NOT eat, it is more like eat wisely and in moderation.
Enjoy the special holiday foods, that is part of what memories are made of, but just make sure you aren't oblivious to everything other than food, but rather, take food as that enjoyable spice that makes theyou aware of the people you are with and the conversation fun and flowing. If the people you are with are a chore to be with, take a read of Don't be a Freakin' Turkey written by CraigT, the host of this site. It may give you a plan of action line.

HEY TAMMY i am so glad you like my three bite
rule!
ITS good to use any time we are challenged by food
functions. THEY tend to come up alot. I find and i will
be honest the further out i am the harder these ocasions
have become but i try my best to make the healthy
choices and use the 3 bite rule on the desserts if
need be!!!!
HOW i wish i was a violent dumper but im not so i have to
use my will power and tool to keep success.
