The last 24 hrs have been a rollercoaster for me one minute i am in so much pain I can barley walk, sit, or laydown and the next i am throwing up and feel better until I try to eat something. It seems that it gets better by morning and by the time dinner rolls around and I have eaten it is unbearable and I start vomiting after that I feel better till the next round. I did call the dr. office got an on call dr. he seems to think that it may have something to do with not taking my prilosec so i took it but vomiting it didn't stay down he also suggested seeing my dr. today. I know that this is what i should do but i am afraid that I will be put in the hospital 2hrs away from home again. Right now I don't feel to bad only coffee and water in my system. Thinking I should just go to work and see what today brings. What do you think?

Go to your dr ASAP!!! Don't play around with pain like what you have been experiencing. If it is something that could threaten your life, you need to be seen to as fast as possible. If a dr suggest you see your own dr, you can bet that dr suspects something serious. ((((((HUGS)))))))

SORRY your going thru such a rough time. I would insist on a scope at this point (((FEEL BETTER HUGS)))) you cant be afraid to be put in the hospitol but if your vomitting alot and in PAIN things need to be checked out! YOU dont want things to worsen. sorry your going thru such and i would say if you are still after 24 hours throwing up and in such pain u need to be aggressive there are also alot of BAD stomach viruses going around but they seem to only be lasting 24 hours so if its lasting past that point i am thinking its not that....! sooo hard to be sure thats why we leave it to the doctors to decide not us

Hello everyone and thankyou so much for your help and concern. I did make it to the Dr. and He seems to think that I may have a stomach virus if so its a doozie, also somehow he neglected to tell me that i needed to stay on the nexium for one yr. and I haven't been taking it for 3 or 4wks. so i could possibly be developing or have an ulcer. He put me on pediacare for three days a liquid diet after that i will try solid food again and if i seem to be having problems I have to call him and he will admit me into the hospital on monday for test. fingers are crossed all goes well and thanks again for your support.
