Any other really undertall people? I have this crazy thought that only tall people look "really good" after surgery. Can short, morbidly obese people look "normal too"?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

There are members here an inch or two shorter than you who look pretty darned good!

It's all a matter of proportions. All you have to do is keep following the rules, whether pre- or post-op, and your body will take you there!

Well im only 5'3 and i look alright so far. But im bigger than you so im not sure what my body is going to do. I know im going to try my best to workout when im cleared and try to tone as much as i can so there is not as much loose skin. Ive been told that i look good already so i guess thats as normal as i can get at the moment lol. Every person is built differently so who knows

I'm a vertically challenged person (ha-ha) at only 5'3. (More like 5'2 now at age 47 with some smushed vertebrae). When I was young and more slender (21 yrs old and 125 lbs) I STILL looked rather "stocky" but feminine...A lot of it is genetics I believe. Certain ethnicities carry their weight differently.
My goal (for me) is between 140 and 150... I do not expect to look like Christie Brinkly...It ain't gonna happen...Ever. We need to find at least something we like about ourselves no matter what.
I think they say the average American woman's height is around 5'4 so we're not THAT small. My husband is only 5'4 and around 130 lbs and his mom is 4'9 and a tiny thing.
All genetics. LOL! (Well, or a lot of it!) It's not that I MIND being small (short) it's just hard to find petite clothes/inseams at times! (My legs are disproportionately short! Like a 28" inseam.)
Warmly,
Jackie

5 feet here, well maybe 5 feet 1/2 inch, hard to tell exactly. When you reach a normal or close to normal BMI of course you will look great! It has nothing to do with height. I think I look great, I got lots of compliments, love my new wardrobe and don't turn the other way every time I walk by a mirror. Good luck on your journey!

Hun....you'll look great! When your body is porportional, the height doesn't matter. You'll be PETITE! It's awesome....trust me, I'm shorter than you. I'm probably closer to 4'10 that 4"11, I just don't usuallly admit it.
PS....clothes in the girls sizes are less expensive than in the women's department and often are the right (petite) length. I shop thrift stores mainly and get some GREAT bargains on girls XL stuff!
You have lots of wonderful things to look forward to .
Merry Christmas!

I am pretty darn short too; I looked good from about 18 - 26 (starving) so I'm hoping for a little of that back. You'll look great! For me, it isn't the height that makes the weight less, I can be 135 lb. and look anorexic it it is the body shape.
