Default Too much too fast?

Hi!!
Ok, had surgery Mar. 8th. When I came home on 9th was up to 239 due to fluid retention which I knew I'd lose. On surg. day was 224.
So as of today, weigh 216. So that's 23 lbs in 11 days. Which I'm thrilled with, but just seems like a lot that soon.
Is this normal? I've been on liguid diet for 3 1/2 weeks now with another 3 to go. Started protien drinks and all vitamins last week.
Take care,
Kathy

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

First of all congratulations. I'm very happy that you did the surgery and having a smooth fast recovery.

Good work my dear, and no don't be puzzled about the amount you've lost in 11 days. I remember that I have lost ~39lb in 3 weeks that's because of the clear liquid diet that your doing at the beginning.
you should be very happy about the results and use this stage to the maximum because this would be the fastest WL during this journey!

happy losing
Hanadi

Congrats on the weightloss.
Well, since about 15lb was from bloating, no, 23 isn't too fast.
You're doing fine, keep up the good work!

Default Too Much Too Fast?

Hi..I was having the same anxiety when I first had the surgery;5 yrs ago in June. I was 19 and lost 39 lbs by my first one week post op appt. The doctor even was a little shocked. Then he explained to e that your body really wouldnt ever lose too much weight too quickly after a bariatric surgery. It actually has a defensive mechanism that could make you level off or even plateau for awhile if you are unhealthy. I woul dask your Dr. I am sure that this isnt too fast though..Crazy to think that now you have to think about losing too much weight too fast LOL...good luck!! wemail me if you have any other questions at princesss3802@aol.com

Hello. Its normal. Though we all lose differently, that first week is a WOW moment for us all. I can almost guarantee you that it will slow down, especially once you start eating. dont worry. youre doing fine.
