How do these contenstants week after week lose such a phenomenal amount of weight? Is it the crazy exercise that they're doing? Obviously our caloric intake is way lower (esp in my stage, I'm probably not even hitting 1000 cals), but some of those folks lose up to 17lbs in one week!! It has to be the hard hit exercise regime, right? That's just crazy! Doc what are your thoughts? I cannot wait to hit the pavement tmw. I know that my mood will improve vastly (gotta love those exercise endorphins). It will also occupy my mind. DH is going to get me some exercise equipment, too. Oooh, and gardening. Gotta start that! I so have an inner athelete that's waiting to be unfurled!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well, we don't have the show here, so I can't really say anything.
But since the whole thing is set up, they have diet and exercise calculated and set up to their exact needs, right? This would optimize the effect of diet and exercise, in other words, their diet and exercise are so designed to bring out the best in each other. So, of course, the amount they lose will be greater than the amount people on their own will lose.
If you had the time and money to have a personal trainer and dietitian set up a diet and exercise program designed just for you, you will be able to get the best of both.

I imaigne if our lives were to stop
and we had professional chefs and workout trainers
we could loose large amounts.
THERE enitre day from sun up to sun down is working
on their weight loss.

I think some of us could do well if we could stop our daily lives
for months and just go away and have professionals help us (and
dare not cheat cause all america is watching and we have to loose)
could work!

BUT for me i love my choice
i couldnt be away from my kids months and months
to make such a show!
HUGS

The exercise is the key, I watch the show faithfully because I am constantly amazed at the huge amounts of weight they drop. I actually met Andrea from season 1 and I asked her about saggy skin because she actually took a pic in a bikini and she said they started out hard core exercise from day one so as the fat burned muscle also formed and took shape. Now she did not loose hundreds like some of the men did in last season but there skin was minimal mainly in the stomach area. I hope I don't have too much sag!

I to have watched that show. I think its done over a period of 6 months? If that is not correct tell me so. LOL. 3 Months on the ranch then 3 months home or somthing like that. If you notice the women have a much lower pound dropping. I do think its the vigirous workouts they do and the dietitians they work with and the personal trainers. If we could afford to leave our familys for that long of time needless to say our jobs and afford it we could do that to im sure. Im not knocking that show what so ever because I am always amazed and stunned at the contestants. I weep alot durnig the final days on the ranch just seeing them so happy and not really caring if they win or lose at the end because they got there life back.

Now one show we outta shoot for is the SWAN! LOL free plastics.

I didn't think the Swan or Extreme Makeover were on anymore. I think they got too much flack from the public. I however love to watch them. It is amazing what they can do today. Everytime I watch one of those shows I want to get tooth veneers. I don't have bad teeth, but they are not their whitest and I do have some bridge work that won't bleach out. I guess I'll just start saving my money for my own makeover!

Becka, i checked to see if it was still on. No. They did run 2 seasons. I must have watched reruns of it then. I just watched this last year. To bad. I might would have tried. LOL

Spikey they say the Veneers are comming down in price. You might wanna check on line to see who does them near you and get prices to compare. Here in Virginia they are advertising them for $399.00. I dont know if that is a good or bad price but the Dentist doing it is a very well known and respected man for this area. Take care.

I truely do not think that I could do as they do on that show. I know me and physically I do not think I could hold up to that hard of exercise. I mean it is hard for me just to walk for my 10 minutes 3 times a day. Now I do weigh 356 lbs but still some of those people were big as well and it seem to me that they just pushed them and pushed them. I would not hold up.
