okay, i know as far as leg cramping goes that my potassium is most likely down, but foot cramps? my poor toes and feet!
is this related to potassium too?

I would like to know too, seems much worse since surgery and I may have to consider the botox that my podiatrist mentioned, although I have an bias against injecting botulism into my body...

I added magnesium, too. I take one tablet at bedtime to let the levels peak during the night. Failing that, I use Hyland's Leg Cramp Pills. They are at Wal-Mart in a tiny red box, usually on the bottom row of the vitamin & supplements display. Those things are amazingly effective!!

My toes cramped a bunch too, but if I up my water, like Vicki said, it goes away.

Drink enough water and you won't have to worry about cramps waking you up in the middle of the night. You'll already be in the bathroom peein'!!

Cramps is essentially the same, be it legs, feet or arms or whatever. Muscles convulsing, so, water, potassium, and sometimes other salts, are often the culprits.

| I agree to the magnesium too! Each time I was pregnant, I would get excruciating leg and foot cramps, until I started taking extra magnesium along with my other supplements. It worked like a charm. I sure wish I had known about the Hyland's then, too. Guess I will be visiting Walmart soon

| Cramps
I'm so glad I ran across this thread. I'm 2 years out from surgery and still have cramps in my feet. They sometimes bring me to tears. Fortunately I don't get them all the time. Off to Wal-Mart I go!
