Cool New to this Board

Hi all, I am 6 days post op and so far so good. I have lost 19 lbs so far. Can anyone tell me when I can expect to have my JP bulb removed? Also, I have been running a temp between 99.1 and 99.8. Has anyone else experienced this?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey Shorty....WELCOME to the loosing side. You are doing great. I didn't have the JP bulb so I can't comment on that. I know that my temp. ran like that too but can't remember for how long or why. If your concerned maybe you should call your Doc. and see what he or she thinks.
Glad your joining us and hope to see you around more. Congratulations on your new life!

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Hope you feel at home here, and find lots of info that you need.

The best person to ask at this stage is your surgeon.
Especialy about your fever. It may be normal due to the healing, but again, it could be a symptom of infection.
As for the JP tube, around 2 weeks on average, I think, but sometimes longer.

(((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

Hi shorty and welcome. My name is Vickie. Im still pre op but mabye if you can get up and move around might help bring that fever down. I do agree with Doc when she said contact your surgeon. Condisering your only allowed certian things right now I would be afraid to treat it. Im just a nurse but when we would get patients in the hospital and they started to run a low grade fever we would have them get up and move around and walk. Even set them in a chair for a while. Not sure why that works but it does on 99 percent of them.

Anyways Call the surgeon like DOC said to. Shes the DOC ! lol

I hope your doing better when you read this post.

Take care

Hi and welcome. my temp stayed around 99 my entire first week. I got in touch with my surgeon and he wasnt concerned. they also checked when i went in for my foloow up visit and again, they werent concerned at all. i cant remember why he said it was ok, but as ms vickie suggested, moving around helps. once i started taking walks it went back to normal. im only 2 weeks post op myself so since your so close if you have questions feel free.

Good Luck on your journey!!!!

Hi all, for the last couple of days I have been throwing up everything, water, my vitamins, let's not even talk about my food, so I called my surgeon to check it out. I was thinking I had a blockage or something. I found out I'm about 2 weeks pregnant and what I have been experiencing is morning sickness. The most ironic thing about this is I had an appt to get on birth control next Tuesday. Talk about unexpected. I just had my surgery on 25 April. I just don't know how I'm going to get all my nutrients in for me and the baby. Any thoughts, anyone??????
