Default I Gained 7lbs...:(

Now I know losing 28lbs in less than three weeks is nothing short of a miracle. But to gain 7 in less than 24 hours.... I KNOW water weight plays a roll and this MAY go away in a few days, but I am feeling EXTREMELY discouraged. Kind of like I knew it was too good to be true.

Someone PLEASE tell me this is normal. PLEASE!!!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

most definatly is water. plus do not weigh yourself more than once a weeek. plus make sure it is at the same time. I know my weight fluctates from day to day so I only go by the weekly figures. plus check your inches you may be losing there. if your working out muscle is heavier than fat. hope this helps. it will be back of plus more b4 you know it.

Try not to get too wrapped up in the scale. As long as you are following your Drs. directions, there is now way that you won't loose! Keep at it. Your doing great.

hang in there !
i know for me the gains from the body played with my mind......
and got me down and depressed at times.
I suggest you try to only weigh yourself once a week or even longer
spans of time to not get yourself in a funk......
FOR TOM alone i can gain that much with ease!!!
hang in there
and keep up the great work
you will be a success i promise you that.

Yes please hide the scale, I was addicted to it and let it rule my life still do and it plays mind games with you. If you must weigh yourself once a week at the same time every week. Remember every little thing plays a part in what you weigh!!

Probably the biggest reason is that time of your monthly schedule. You'll retain before, and lose with a whoosh after, is the normal pattern.
When you're still this early out from surgery, as everyone says, it's best to get rid of the scale. Some do not keep a scale at home, and only weigh in at their drs.
For measuring your weightloss, see how your clothes size changes. That probably is more encouraging than the drop in scale numbers.
((((((HUGS))))))

P.S. Not to hijack this thread, but, hey, terry, I've seen you pop in and out of various threads, so please do start a new thread about yourself in Your Profile, so we can all give you a big welcome and hugs and congrats on joining the Loser's Bench, OK? Waiting to see ya there, and nice pic of you, but it's a bit small, so please come out of hiding.

My surgery center told me to try to avoid the scale until I came in for check ups. They told me it is normal to gain and lose in the first month or so and I would just make myself crazy if I weighed myself every day.
