Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

TOM wise, just about anything can happen during the rapid weightloss stage.
It can become frequent, or it can become sparse. It ca, become heavy, or lighter (though usually not much where lighter/easier is concerned.) It's been known to have it restart with people who'd thought they had gone into menopause (obesity can bring on early menopause).
Fatty tissue produces/stores estrogen, and as you lose, a lot of this estrogen is going to be released, wreaking havoc on your cycle. Now, of course, there are other factors that can make your cycle heavy, so, you do need to have a gyn check you out, but if that check comes up with no remarkable issues, then, it's due to your rapid weightloss and the release of the large amounts of estrogen.
Hang in there, it will take some time, but as your weight stabilizes, things should go back to normal.

I do think there was a thread here on this some time ago.

Wow...I was going to post somehing similar but i was waiting so as to not be the first lol! I had similar issues. The funny thing is my surgeon told me that its rare that any of his patients resumed normal cycle post op...wouldnt you know i am the only freak who was right on time! lol. ontop of that I too experienced cramps. NEVER in my life before had i had them. They were terrible too. But i guess its one of my trade offs...

THIS is so normal but wont last forever......sorry its so awful.
PEOPLE who are irregular from obesity tend to become regular, but with heavy, crampy cycles....and those that were irregular tend to beceome irregular some during the rapid weight loss.
IT has alot to do with the hormones being released and produced during weight loss.
HANG in there mine are not as heavy as the first months but i have the problem of getting most months in 21 days now.
SO i feel im always in PMS grumpy mode.
ITS totally normal

I hadn't had a period in a long long time and mine started up and were crazy for months on end...heavy heavy, clotting every 2 weeks. I had my WLS in may '02 then had the hystero (uterus only) in march of '03..but I'd also had a lot of issues before all this too and there was a specific reason plus we did a lot of testing and biopsying stuff to make sure insurance would pay for it.

What I was told, (now this gyno hadn't had any previous patients who'd had WLS) was just what Doc Sanae said...hormones do crazy things when you let go off all that weight..LOL...um yeah? But he also said it was why it was documented that fertility goes sky high post op even in women previously unable to get pregnant!
