| Normal or not?
I feel silly for even bringing this up, but, tomorrow will be 2 weeks since surgery. I found myself drinking like 3 fairly good sized swallows of water without any pain. Is this normal?

I don't think there is any such thing as "normal" because we are all so different. The most important thing is for you to take care of yourself so your insides have a chance to heal. Be kind to your pouch and sip instead of gulping. It takes a little longer to drink that way but you need to be gentle with yourself right now. Good luck and let us know how you are progressing.

I generally do sip, however, I have forgotten previously and my little tummy let me know REAL FAST. This time, it didn't, and I had done it before I realized it. Once I finished drinking, I realized what I had done, but didn't get the pain that I had gotten before.

I don't have a pouch, but an itty bitty stomach..and it lets me know when I do wrong (I can't gulp water, either). I think you're wondering if you've broken a rule without consequences, and if that means your pouch is not working correctly. I don't think it works that way, like Carol said- we're all different and you'll have to learn what your pouch will and won't do regularly.

I guarantee you, if your pouch had objected to it, you would have no doubts at all!! NONE!!
Since you had no pain (this time), your pouch didn't disapprove (this time). Some days you get lucky!

Sounds like you are doing okay...keep drinking and if your body doesn't like it it will "reject" it.

If your pouch can tolerate, yes, you're fine.
