Default Where do I go?

Three days ago, I developed pain right under the bottom of my sternum. It hurts to eat and drink. Needless to say, I'm drinking protein drinks to get my quota in, even though it hurts. Last night I had to take some of the pains meds they sent home with me from the hospital to get some relief. 15 minutes later, I was so nauseas, I was hugging the porcelain (sp?) throne and experiencing a hot flash of epic proportions. I never got sick, but I was praying for some relief like crazy! To describe the pain....well, it's like I need to burp but it's stuck so it hurts and aches. I took a GasX strip which didn't touch it. I have a very bad feeling that my gall bladder is going bad. My doctor left it in because it was in great shape at the time of my RNY. The pain comes and goes even when I'm not drinking or when I'm sleeping.

Who do I call? My family doctor? Or my surgeon? I have no clue!! I have an appt. with my family doctor tomorrow to get some blood work done. She is amazing and is educating herself on the RNY so that she can provide the absolute best care that she can. I'm just so confused as to who takes care of what. Gah...I wish they had given me a manual before I left the hospital! (yeah, I kept wishing for a manual after getting married and giving birth, too! LOL)

Thanks in advance for any advice or experience with a gall bladder going bad after surgery!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I would call your surgeon, sounds like gallbladder from what I have heard. Best wishes... it scares me too.

I had my gall bladder out a couple of years before my WLS surgery but the pain sounds familiar. Do not wait. Call your doctor immediately.

Got an appt. with my surgeon first thing Friday morning. Hoping this is something minor and easily fixed!
