Default Incisions

I'm having a devil of a time with one of my incisions. I'm 2 weeks and 3 days post op, have 6 incisions, 5 of which are healing or healed very nicely. One, which is the top incision, just below where my bra goes, refuses to heal. It stays "wet" looking and hurts SOOOO bad. I woke up last night in tears because it was hurting so bad. I keep it covered with a bandaid when I'm dressed, so my clothes dont rub against it and make it worse, but I'm not sure if I need to be concerned or not. I spoke to a friend of mine who had the same procedure done back in 2010, by the same doctor. He said that it probably hurts now, because of everything "falling south" and pulling on it, which makes a little sense to me. He said he would put neosporin on his, but I'm scared to because of the way it looks.
I know I should probably call the doctor on this, but I figured I would check to see if anyone else had the same problem before I did.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I agree, is it weeping? Swollen? really red? I had a bit of pain in some of them, stitch sticking out was irritating me.. If it looks infected call dr.

Ditto what the other ladies said! Especially if it is red or weeping. Let us know how you're doing. Hugs

That was the incision my wife and I each had that needed special attention. We kept neosporin and a bandaid on it for a week or so and it cleared right up. But when in doubt - check with your doctor!!

I had a heck of a time with the spot where the drain was- that sucker is deep and heals from the bottom up. It shouldn't be keeping you awake at night, though. If it's warm and red around the edges, painful but not itchy and keep you up, I'd have someone look at it. Weepy really is ok, as long as that "stuff" is more clear than not and doesn't smell funny. It's better to weep a bit than heal over and fester underneath.

I had one incision that was like refusing to heal up....(I have 5 incisions) I pulled like a piece of plastic string from it....it was about a quarter of an inch long.....then it healed....I don't suggest doing what I did....but contacting your Doc now rather then waiting till your 1 month is prob best.....but I jsut wanted to show my support that I went through something similar too!
