sorry for my frustration.....but I've been working out like crazy.....I went to this Zumba class....that wasn't just Zumba.....it was toning and stregthening.....oh man oh man....muscles are extremely sore today.....and I'm pretty sure my calve muscle gave out while I was bent over picking up my daughters books and putting them on our bookshelf.......but I didn't lose a thing this morning!!! (I know, I know this is where ya'll scold me for weighing myself every morning) I'm honestly okay with either gaining a couple of oz......and hey I'm of child baring age so it'll prob be typical that I actually gain a pound or 2 during that time. But that isn't this time!!!! And I really worked my butt off.....like seriously people I worked off 1,200 calories in exercise yesterday. Then came home to make sure I ate at least what my Doc recommends for daily intake. I prob took in a lot of water though....I felt myself getting woozy.....and it was because I wasn't breathing properly while bending and doing a work out.....so I took in more water......anywho....anyone experience this.....I'm 6 weeks out with a loss of 40 lbs.....

Sounds like a stall to me... it usually happens after the first month or so

Stalls unfortunately are common...
What are your doctor's recommended calories?
I have a personal trainer and when my weight stalls (like right now) he tells me it's because I'm not eating enough to fuel my body so he has me trying to get in 1200-1300 calories, I don't always make that number and sometimes I get past it a little but once I keep it up my weight starts to fall again. I've just started this again this week after a 3 week stall, so hopefully next week I'll see a little loss. Hang in there and keep up the good work with that exercise, also even if you are not seeing the numbers drop I bet ya you are losing lots of inches, not to mention getting stronger!

Queen of Zumba!! I've always wanted to try that but I'm uncoordinated to the max. Look, you're out there, shaking your bootie and doing everything right. We can't call "stall" after only a day!! Drink your water, up your protein intake and keep moving. That scale will catch up to you in a couple of days. And, if it doesn't, I'll teach you how to cuss that stall properly

I'm eating between 800-1000 calories a day....but with my physical activity it's been averaging below 800 (according to myfitnesspal.com) my packet tells me that I should be eating this exact amount daily and getting my exercise in.....so I'm doing exactly what my Doc's orders are...but not seeing much of a loss at this point....for two weeks I was fighting to get over that 270 bench mark...and finally did, and jumped to 267 in one day.....oh how I wish I could do that again! lol

Water weight, hormones, typical stall. Whatever it is, just keep doing what you are doing and it will definitely pass. Let us know when it is over!

| Stay off the scale..it sound so easy doesn't it? But, I only get weighed twice a week. (if that.) When I get that yucky feeling, I start taking on water and I generally feel better. Hang in there. Each day it DOES get better.

Just keep up the exercise and your clean eating habits and that dumb old scale will start showing some losses soon. You're doing great, try not to get discouraged...yeah I know, I know but just keep hanging in there.

I second what everyone else is saying above. But a bit of advice on the Zumba, it does include many areas of exercising. It's not just "dancing". We do strength training, including weights, ball exercises, floor exercises, and the fun "dancing" parts! I love Zumba!!

I had a stall going into my third week, everyone is different, I stayed away from the scale and today I am at 1 month and stall is over, you are doing everything right, so as long as you know that the weight loss will follow...it has to its physically IMPOSSIBLE to NOT lose weight, so science is on your side.
