| Is anyone else Freezing?!?!
I am 14 weeks post op and it seems that I have been unable to get warm for the last month or so. I feel like I am always freezing! I am usually the crazy person running around in flip flops all winter long, bundling up in blankets is a new one for me! Anyone else experience this?

Yes! I have been the same way since my surgery. Not sure why. I am always cold now and I live in the desert!

| Mine is on and off...but I sit by the fireplace and practically sleep on top of the husband! I have found I fit in my husband's flanel PJ's and he is offended that I am wearing them! BAH! My long and lean hubby should be happy, I say, and live with the cold! hehe

Aahhh - so you've made it to the freezing phase!! Iteacheagles is absolutely right. This is your new normal. Embrace it!
Remember how you used to work up a sweat thinking about walking down to the mailbox? You won't have to now. Remember how you used to have to freeze everyone else out as you're wearing the minimum clothing that decency allowed and were still too hot? There's a limit to how low you could go with that. Now you get to learn about layering and adding clothes, not subtracting them!! (But don't buy too many, because they're going to get too big very quickly!)
Now you get to roam the store and not be a soggy mess when you hit the cash register. Your world is opening up. This is one of the many perks of the journey. This is one of the things that tells you that you're on the path! You must to be doing something right! Keep it up and wait for the next surprise! It just keeps getting better from here!

| Also experiencing the cold. I started right after surgery though...and it has lingered with me. On cold days I now tend to wear 2 shirts; and when sitting I always have a lap blanket near by. The other big change is I wear warmer pajamas and socks to bed!!! Never in the past would I dress that warmly to sleep.

Can't say I've reached that point as of yet, but I can't wait to be freezing too instead of sweating while others are bundled.

Welcome to the world of being thinner! Somedays I absolutely quiver with the cold. My hands are like blocks of ice. But I sure am happy not to have to work up a sweat by just putting one shoe on. Perfesser is right about layering...it makes it easy to add or subtract. When I go outside, I always have 4 tops on, and long-johns under my jeans. 3 pairs of socks and assorted hats, gloves and scarves. If I get too hot, some will come off. Or I can add more if I get too cold.
