For the past couple of days I find it hard to eat or drink much of anything. When I do, I feel this awful burning in my pouch. Then I end up vomiting. So I cut back on what I eat but the burning is still there. When I take my vitamins I really suffer. The only thing that keeps them down is if I drink 4 ozs of milk first, but I still feel sick. Can you get an ulcer in your pouch?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

CS, yes you can get an ulcer and the symptoms you're describing sound like you could have developed one. You need to call your surgeon and have it checked out. Thats the only way to be for sure. I hope you feel better soon!

Yes, it sounds like an ulcer.
The fact that milk helps makes it even more likely--milk coats the surface and protects the ulcer from irritation.
Call your surgeon.

I hope the Dr. gets you some help with that. I had an ulcer and I know how miserable it is. Get better soon!! I took the medicine for a month like the Dr. told me to and haven't had anymore issues with it! So hopefully that is all it will take for you, too.

sound like an ulcer to me!! please call your surgeon.

My surgeon has us take pepcid for 90 days after surgery - I also have a prescription for carafate that I'm suppose to take 4 times a day... I'm a bit confused about why I'm taking both (after looking up what carafate is used for) - I'll talk to the surgeon when I see him tomorrow.
