Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Oh Terry, I DID THAT TOO. i READ OTHER POSTS AND GUAGED MY LOSS AGAINST THEIRS. iT MADE ME CRAZY. I will be 10 weeks out this coming Tuesday and have lost 37 lbs since beginning my journey began in November; 31 lbs since surgery day. You are special and uniqueand your body will not let you down. It will take care of itself and shed the pounds when it is sure it no longer needs them Sometimes it surprises you how it just doen't need 5 or 10 lbs this week or next. Just keep watering and feeding it and taking it out for a walk regularly...sort of like a puppy. And it will take care of your wants and desires too. Good luck to you and keep posting. I can tell you from experience that this site is your best friend.

Terry, it's to each his/her own.
There is no "normal" no "standard", so to speak.
To guage yourself against someone else's loss is to put yourself in the danger of becoming unable to enjoy the full result of the surgery. So long as you follow your surgeon's intstructions, your body will lose the weight you need to lose in its own time.
If you're slacking on some of the rules you've been given, it may be time to seriously start working on them, to kick up your progress.

((((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

BTW, I have split this thread from where it originally was, as it was totally unrelated to the original thread.

Hi Terry...I just wanted to share with you a link
from a friend that had her surgery the same month and year as me
(about a week apart) and by this you can see how totally
different we lost but still got to the same number but at
much different times. We all loose differently so its very hard
to compare with someone else that is your starting weight
and how they did ...take a look....
with following the gastric bypass rules you will get down to
wonderful slimmin scale numbers heres our journies:

good luck may your journey be successful

I used to be paranoid sbout that Terry. I kept checking others profiles who had surgery around the same time as me. The truth is, like everyone says, everyone responds indivdually. The good thing is that you will get to where you need to be in your own due time. Eat and drink and exercise. DOnt think that not eating will help you lose faster. and remember you have to do your part. Making good food choices and exercise is the key.

Happy Losing!

PS. when you dont see lbs coming off i guarantee you will see a reduction in inches. Take pictures and take measurements and you will see the difference.
