Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Kenya, I certainly hope there is no memory loss. I do not have much to lose. I will be watching to see what responses you get. I know Niacin plays a big part in memory. Does your vitamin have adquate supply of niacin? That's all I know. Mattie

Now I don't know about this surgery having that effect.....but I will tell you after you have anesthesia it can and will cause that for a while. It will go away in time.

I think you will find anyone in here that has been put to sleep will tell you that. Especially if you have been put to sleep several times. Scientific evidence of this? Im not sure but personal experience YES !

I truly think my best friend that had the sugery 3 years ago is suffering from this. I think what you are talking about is serious and something worth looking into. because before the surgey my friend would never repeat herself and stuff and forget things she told me just a fue hours ago. Now she does it all the time it has got to the point were i tell her don't you remember telling me that earlyer.
I am always blameing it on her B12 shot and busting on her
but i serously think it is something

o well thats all i got ta say about that

There is some concern about the neurologic after effects of the surgery, where certain deficiencies seem to be the culprit. However, many of the surgeons are still clueless of this, so you may need to see a neurologist or psychiatrist to have it checked out. Even if you are keeping up with your vitamins and supplements, if you are concerned about what's happening with you, consult your surgeon, and even if he may brush you off, keep bugging him for a referral to a neurologist.
No intention of scaring you, but here's a news article from a while back.

Kenyar, if it's caught early, these things can be reverted.
As a matter of fact, quite a lot of things can be reverted if the signs are caught and things are treated early on.
So, if you're worried, have it checked out. You know this goes for anything that happens.

OKAY this is from Mz CARB addict herself.....
when i eat a very lo carb diet which i need to
to keep my eating in control i get BRAIN FOG!!!

i imagine try to put some fruit and veggies into your
eating and some whole grain carbs to help this issue.

JUST more in the balance of good eating. I will add here
that i had it bad goin on during my ten 10 carb detox
and now that fruits are back in my eating it eases up.

I would try this first then continue to look into other
deficiencies can be as easy as putting a few more
carbs into your eating.

Good suggestion Lisa. I havent really eaten anything consistantly other than protein since I started eating again. Ive been so caught up in the whole protein protein protein thing that i neglect other nutrients.

Doc, valid point. I will discuss at my next appt in a few weeks. I know it seems like a long time to wait, but i like to go in with specific instances or situations so in the interim im giong to try adding fruit.

I dont mean to make anyone overly concerned. my memory loss isnt severe at all. its minor things like getting to the store and forgetting what i went for....I am going to address it with my doc tho.
