Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hi! Welcome. Congratulations on deciding to take the steps towards your journey. Everyone heals differently and at their own pace. You will have some people on here tell you theycouldnt even sleep in their beds for a week or two post op. I, myself was in the bed and on my stomach within a day or two. I remember sleeping on my side the first night because I was afraid to sleep on my stomach, but it wasnt pain that kept me from it. It all depends. I know thats not the "definite" answer you were looking for but to be honest, there will be lots of things that depend on the individual along this journey. Good luck! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | To give you the other side of the coin. It was three weeks before I could sleep for any time on my stomach. I did move to my side after about 8-9 days as there was no way I was getting any sleep on my back. Welcome and good luck. The journey is worth it. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | are you having LAP or OPEN....I'm not a stomach sleeper either..just every once in a while even now will I sleep on my stomach. But ..anyway!..I had open and it was very uncomfortable to sleep for very long for quite awhile for me..I know that's probably not very helpful! But I also had a vaginal hystero that was done laproscopically also 9 mos later and that was a much quicker time of it. open vs lap makes a difference for the answer for sure! -bree
