Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Well, 2 weekends ago was my cousines wedding, and when people saw me they literally gaspped and didn't believe their eyes. In particular the oldest aunte, she hasn't seen me like before I went to Leeds do you know what she told me? Don't lose more weight! you face won't look nice! Mom also made the same comment the other day (made me feel sad) she said you look like an old lady, your face getting skinny and you have saggy cheeks, chin ![]() she's right about the chin thing, but the cheeks I can imagine that with more weight loss my face will become smaller I made this note before, with all the WL I'm making everything is getting smaller except for my NOSE it's getting BIGGER ![]() I hate it, I like my facial features and I actually believe that I'm a good looking lady, but with the old face thing it's I dunno somehow disappointing so has anyone told you, don't lose more weight, your face is getting older? I'd better think of plastics soon! Hanadi |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | YES~!!!!! people told me that and i have to say thankfully i didnt loose more my body had stopped. I do feel with the lost skin my face has "AGED" in look..... I suppose its some of the extra skin. BUT nothing I can do about it. ITS very hard hang in there! LAST thing i wanted to do was end up looking gaunt (sickly thin) and i feel i have done a great job at avoiding that .

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hanadi - Honestly you are one of the most beautiful women I have seen in a long time. You would turn eyes over here even though I know as a Muslim that is not your goal. Girl, I'm sorry but a few wisdom lines on the face adds beauty to a woman. You are also young enough that some of those will tighten with time and I believe your nose is just part of your heritage and adds to your looks not detracts. Please keep in mind that family members are always used to picking us apart. Honestly your face is even more arresting than it was before. My girlfriend got very skinny in her face after this surgery but when she got to the last 30 or so pounds her face stayed the same. Even though she lost a lot in her face originally it didn't keep going down. I really don't think you should worry too much. I would use some night moisturizing cream to keep your skin soft and let nature tighten the rest of it first. I was told by my doctor that your body takes a year to catch up with the weight loss which means that your skin is still back when you first had surgery. Hugs to a beautiful woman, Bren |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have heard this before with WLS patients. BUT i do have to tell you that you are absolutely beautiful and really dont need to worry about any of this Here in the US we have skin firming lotions and creams for the face. There are also some home remedies you could use. I think I read somewhere coffee grounds or tea bags help. Not really sur ehow to apply those but I guess it's worth looking into. But really you are beautiful. Aside from how others make you feel, do you generally feel good about your appearance and how far you have come?? because that's all that matters |

| Super Moderator | Hanadi (((((((((HUGS))))))))))) Now, this, not just for Hanadi but everyone else as well. As you are successfully going through this journey, and you lose significant weight, have any of these people telling you are losing too much etc etc, ever seen you at a *healthy* weight? Have any of them seen you at the point where, say, drs say, okay, that person looks well balanced where weight and height are concerned and looks very healthy. I bet none, and I bet never. So, you are going to get people say all sorts of things to you. Just about everything except what you really want to hearand what you really are now--"Wow, you are doing great, you are looking much better and much healthier now." Also, come cultures consider being heavy as a sign of health and wealth, and in that kind of background, what is actually considered healthy weight in medical terms, may be considered thin in these cultures, so that could cause some comments. Just as you find it hard to see your weight loss in the mirror, so it is difficult for those who have been around you for a long time to truly see how healthy looking you actually are. Their perception is distorted, just as yours is. So, don't be surprised if their comments are negative, don't be surprised if they aren't complementary. And, don't let these comments upset you. As time goes by, and they see how healthy you are, and they get used to your new body, they will most likely stop saying anything except that they are glad you have regained your health. Just now, since you haven't yet done the losing, they are just as lost as you were before, as to where you are now, and where you are heading. This is just one of these things that will correct itself with time. Don't be discouraged by these comments, you are lovely inside and out. An old Japanese saying for you. When we are young, youth will determine our beauty. When we are past 40, we are responsible of our own beauty. Meaning, if we are older than 40, then our beauty comes from within, it isn't the outer looks that determine our beauty. (((((((HUGS)))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hi, As for the face dont worry about it! LOL I can tell you about a excercise my cousin did and she looks younger than before. Say the vowels of the alphabet. A E I O U. like this AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIII OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Move your face muscles with your sounds. You dont have to say them out loud....Just make the facial movement. You will find yourself streching your face out and making the muscles work. It will help with the sagging and the neck part. It works! And honey....your face was used to extra fat being in it. It will snap back im sure. You are one of the prettiest ladies I have seen. Your eyes and your face are simply beautiful. They are just seeing a part of you they are not used to. |
