Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Sorry. I dont mean to exclude the men but I need some input from women post opers, pre-opers can participate too lol! Ok so I am feeling EXTREMELY drained. It's my TOM and I am TIRED TIRED TIRED and bloated. The funny thing is that I havent gained any weight as far as the scale is concerned but my stomach area is "full". This is the first month since the strawberries that I havent gained 7-10lbs lol! I've been doing my regular routine as far as protein and supplements are concerned but I feel like I need a boost. I could literally sleep all day but I have a 5 year old so it isnt an option. Any ideas? Is there something I could eat or take to give me some energy? I'm really dragging........ |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Kenya, I can so relate! I have my TOM too and for the first time since surgery. I feel just like you describe, I could sleep all day! I have a 5 year old too and you're right, not an option. I am wondering if my Iron or something else is low? Amy

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | DARN PMS blows. I am always VERY wiped out before TOM post op. AND the killer for me is it comes every freakin 21 days so i feel im lways PMSy. I think after surgery we really watch things like a hawk in our bodies and notice everything..... i know for me at my max weight i was ust always tired so i proly never saw i was worse just before TOM. I know we worry of every little ach, tired or anything post op so i thik ur just being more aware. i know aside from PMS time i dont require nearly the sleep i used to get at 310 lbs.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Well, I don't know a thing about post op, but I can say that I am always wiped out at that TOM! I just always feel like I can't get enough sleep! Just a thought, but for me, I tend to really crave sugar-y/salty things at that TOM, so maybe you post-opers feel even more tired because you aren't eating those things anymore??? Sugar at least gives me a little boost when I'm feeling dragged out, even if it is short lived.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Oh boy, I can relate to both issues!! I spotted for the first two weeks post-op, then went right into TOM----I bled for 3 1/2 weeks. No wonder I have no energy!!!I'll have to see what happens in a couple weeks with the next one---I can't wait. LOL

I WOULD JUMP OFF THE HIGHEST ROOFTOP I COULD FIND IF THAT WAS ME lol! For me, the surgery regulated my cycle which is great, I'm just drained...Thank god it only lasts 3 days now! |
