Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I'm 5 1/2 weeks out and I love eating nuts for a snack or as a part of my dinner. So far my stomach tolerates them well. I was told they have the "good fats" and some protein. Any thoughts on if these are ok to eat post-op????

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I just looked in my brochure from my dr. it says they are ok at stage 5. I think at 5 1/2 weeks you're eating regular solids, right? I guess if you eat them in moderation and they dont "hurt" your pouchy, you're good to go lol! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I use nuts for a snack when i needed some salt and crunch. I did soy nuts but not to often the eveil salt might cause good ole retention in us gals. I am reading around that some surgeons are suggesting a little salt to help with the unexplained dizziness that some of us get... i dont know the facts of why and dont know if it helps.... but i do nuts and chew them well hey its PROTEIN and we have to think PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN its very hard to find protein snacks to keep the variety going so i used them..... and for me the snack i had to keep on hand on the go was a lo carb high protein bar...always had one in my purse
