Unhappy This is probably totally stupid, but....

After proudly declaring that I hadn't hurled, I've hurled 3 times in the last week, all probably because I screwed up the water/eating times or ate too much/didn't chew enough. Murphy's Law.....

Last night, though, I think some blood came up too. I was in Atlantic City having the vacation from hell, and didn't get back until a little while ago. I haven't hurled again, but my tummy feels, well, sore and tingly... I thought at the time maybe I'd just scratched my throat but I'm wondering now. It doesn't hurt like when I first got operated on, it's more of a heartburn/acid thing....

Has this ever happened to any of you? I'm planning on calling the doctor's office in the morning. I was going to call earlier, but I wasn't real keen on visiting the hospital in Atlantic City, knowing how screwy my insurance can be.

I hadn't noticed any change in the other end of business, thus far, but it's been a few days... Sorry, I know... TMI.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

((((((HUGS)))))
You're still barely a month out--which means you are still healing inside, it takes 3-4 months until your healing is completed, so take things easy until then.
That said, if you see any blood, call your dr ASAP, esp this early out.
The burning sensation may be irritation from reflux and nothing else, but better be safe than sorry.

Hang in there, hope you'll be feeling better soon.

Was just telling about this in another thread this morning....

YES, i had it happen on steak in about my 6 th week.
I had a piece stuck ...
hurled it up and out and saw traces of blood.
YES phone your surgeon as mine put me on liquid diet
a few days till things healed up....
which was hell to go back to but did.
BE careful CHEW CHEW CHEW and eat slow.
EARLY out this is very important and throwing
up early out can be damageing.....
while your healing. I have to personally say
i was most careful the first 3 to 4 months with
eating and got lazy further out ....
FEEL WELL

AS for that burning pain.....well when ever i had gotten
food "STUCK" the pain is intense the entrie way down
till it gets stuck its weird....and painful and some
of thought it was a heart attack ....u definitely
are not chewing food till its mush!! its not easy
for some wasnt for me. FOR me i always knew
i had to stop eating when i got that pain thing
as the food went down...or i would clog it up
even worse with everything following the stuck food.

Thanks ladies! I'm going to call the doc's office in about an hour and a half when it opens. Everything I've eaten since then is soft.

Worst part about that one was that it was fluffy scrambled eggs... I really think I might have ate too much. I was flapping my jaws and not paying enough attention. Every time I get in trouble I'm eating around someone... THAT'S IT!!! I'M TAKING MY MEALS INTO THE BASEMENT AND HIDING!!!!

Cindy, keep us posted. I am praying that you won't have the same problem I did. But mine progressed quickly and it doesn't sound like yours is. Plus I was in incredible pain. But let us know what your Doc says.

I talked to the nurse this morning and the doc this afternoon. They did just what Lisa said, I'm back on purees and shakes, and they upped my Prevacid. If things get worse, or they're not better by Tuesday, my doc wants to see me.

Thanks again! You all are great!!!
