You know I havint had it done yet.....but in past surgerys i have had done there was one time I was in the same position. I just let them know when I got there so they were perpared to meet my needs.

I know BOOTS is off for surgery this morning and her fear was to have
it her day of surgery!

just let them know....
but the nurses are used to it at hospitols...
this way if there is traces in ur urine they know
its from your TOM.

WEll it didnt happen when i had my bypass suregery but a few years ago I had another surgery and wouldnt you know. that morning i woke up and there was "my freind". I was so bummed. But like the other ladies said, just let the hospital know. they were very good to me and delt with my lovely friend that happened to appear that morning.

My TOM came the day after surgery, which I hear is VERY normal. I had just had it the weekend before, but had it again. They are very prepared for it in the hospital.
I have a question for anyone - I had cramps and a little discharge, but no period. I was irregular before, so I was hoping this would clear it all up.

Just let them know and they will be prepared! That was my fear too but it came before and was gone by the time I had surgery!

i started i think 2 days after my gb and let me tell you it was terrible ...... i had a hard time of it because of my size and having just had the surgery made it very hard to take care of things but i made it through and i am very glad that i did not cancel my surgery for another date, now that its over i dont regret going through with it at all. i would say to take with you the supplies that you would use at home because the ones they have at the hospital never seem to work as well, im glad that i did. hope this helps ................. kathy
