I haven't had my surgery yet but my husband instead of policing what I eat decided to just go along with whatever I decided to eat. Your husband has to make up in his mind that this is what he wants and if he does, you all could kind of do it together. I know it's hard to see someone eat something that you love and know that you can't have it, so my husband wont eat anything I can't have around me. So if I am eating salad so is he (bless his heart because the man do not need to loose one pound or he will dissappear) lol. For me, whenever someone (mom, family, doctors or friends) would pester me about loosing weight I would rebel. It sounds stupid to me now but that is what I did. I had to open my own eyes and realize what was best for me.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I agree with Clancy......you have to be ready. I too waiting on the side lines for some time and went back and forth and then one day I decided this is something I need to do for health reasons and for my children. I wanted to be there for them. So then I started the journey with all the different appoitments. But once i made my mind up i was ready. Its kinda like someone who is in AA or quitting smoking. You have to be ready to make a lifestyle change and be committed to it. I can say that Im so much happier now though.

Thumbs down

Personally I've found, through watching a lot of this type of thing with other couples/friends, family that if one person can't take responsibility for their changes and puts all the responsibility on another person (drill seargent) then it just sets that person up for failure or worse..

really it just gives the person sometime to 'buck' against and blame for failure.
