Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well, theoretically, fatty tissue is just about everywhere, so when you are losing big time, lots of places will shrink.
Call your surgeon to check out, though, and I think you should also call your dentist and ask, he/she may know something.

I have not noticed any issues with my teeth or gums however it is very important to keep up good dental hygiene espically after surgery. That is since we are not absorbing nutrients our teeth are prob defecient as well/ I guess im a hypocrit with this one because i am terrified of the dentist and only tend to go if i have to and that is not good. anyway if you find out anything important about dental concerns please share with us.

Thanks LittleLisaMarie

UK I addressed 2 questions the first time I ever posted here. One was about my teeth. I know that sometimes in the UK it can be hard to find a dentist but.. Personally I Would have a dentist look it them to make sure.
My best friend/cousin had WLS and has lost some teeth. They do blame it on that but....its true she hadn't been to a dentist for years only to get one pulled. So go in if they find a problem more than likely they can treat it now instead of losing your teeth. Perhaps i misunderstood you... so I will ask.... Does your teeth look longer?

I Havent Noticed Shrinking Gums, But I Can Say For Sure That In The Last Few Months My Teeth Have Been Very Sensitive To Brushing Especially So I Have Had To Change Toothpaste Brands To Help With The Pain. I Dont Have Dental Ins. And Right Now I Cant Afford A Dentist So Im Just Trying To Be More Alert To My Teeth. Im Almost 6 Mnth Out From Gb And I Dont Know If Its Related To That Or Not, But I Didnt Have The Issue Before.

I had just been to my dentist 2 days before my surgery to have a filling replaced and a scale and polish. She checked my gums then so im sure my dentist would have noticed something then if there was a problem. I only really noticed today how much they've shrunk it looks like someone is pulling them down if you now what i mean. I'll try getting hold of my surgen on monday if not i'll go to my local doc. Trust me to be the one to get the teeth dropping out! lol my hair is coming out by the handful but i was told this sometimes happens. If i knew i was gonna be bald with no teeth i would have stayed fat! lol

Oh, wow, I thought it was just me shedding this early.... although I always shed some..... I totally blocked the shower drain though.. Like clogged. And it had only been two weeks since I'd done it the last time. It's not real noticeable yet......

I read of a lady who wrote her weight loss story for She Magazine that was having tooth pain. It's fairly recent. I think the last installation of the story was about the time of our surgery. Good luck! I hope things work out!

Hmmmm. Did you have any diabetic issues? I know that before I even knew that I had high gloucose levels my gums were doing strange things. Is it possible that you had high levels and didn't realize it and now they are being corrected? Just a far out thought.
