Default A sweet thing

I have a really wierd question. What do you guys and gals do when you have a craving for something sweet? I dont know if I have my information correct or not but I always thought that people dumped when you ate something really sugary or sweet. But after reading Kenya's post today I see that she dumped on rice. So Im a bit confused.

But back to my question, last night for the first time I actually had a craving for something sweet. Ive never been a sweets person before.
My issue before was always chips/cheese type things not sweets. So before surgery something sweet to me was like a piece of licorish or maybe some animal crackers.
So just wonering what others do?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Oh and I forgot to mention, knock on wood, I have yet to dump. Ive been so good and stuck to my surgeons plan and have not dumped at all yet. Like I said, knock on wood. Actually at my last surgeons appoitment the nurse practishioner suggested it was a good idea to dump so I know what it feels like. I didnt like that idea. I ignored her suggestion.

OKAY when i got further out i battled this need. p
SO i saw this thing that someone else recommended
for PMS and i love love love it....

I ordered online these power crunch bars (in triple chocolate). MIND
you on done in the form i hate them...but with this receipe its doable.....
i slice it down the middle into two flat breads scoop sugar free cool whip
into it and wrap it up and freeze it. WHEN im craving this has been
my sweet/PMS treat.

I also have done sugar free jello instant puddings but prefer the protein ones to help keep protein in check.

well, when i have a craving, i eat a chips ahoy 100 calorie granola bar. i know sugar is an issue for some, but to be honest anything i have tried that was sweet has not been an issue. i also make sure its LOW sugar. i dont go all willy nilly and eat brownies or cakes or anything like that, but i have tried bits here or there.

its going to be a trial end error thing. and i am not encouraging anyone to "cheat" but you will never know what will make you sick until you try it.

When I get that urge (and I DO), I will eat a little of the nasty protein bars (which are sweet) or I will have a few peanut butter and crackers. I buy the low fat crackers. The peanut butter REALLY takes the craving away, and plus it has protein!!

For a comprehensive explanation of dumping, check out this thread and access the article linked into it.
This should give you a good idea of what dumping is.

I have gotten sugar free ice cream with splenda. Edys make a awesome cookies and cream (hard to find that flavor though) There are other brands and flavors you can try. Plus it has some protein in it. Voortman also had sugar free cookies made with splenda. Has some carbs in it so be careful on the cookies.
My new addiction sugar free fat free cinnamon lattes from starbucks.
