Hi all,

New to this board but I am from Kitchener, ON Canada and having surgery in buffalo, NY. Has anyone who had OOC surgury gotten any bills or is it ALL covered by OHIP.

OOC stands for Out OF Country. Since I am from Canada and the wait is really long I opted to go the States for Surgury. OHIP stands for Ontario Health Insurance PLan. Its something we get in Canada.

So if there is anyone from Canada on here I would like to know if you did get a bill even though OHIP is covering your surgery.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH. ok. thats why i didnt understand lol. sorry about that. i think Jerry is the only one from Canada that comes to mind but he's having his done IN canada i believe. maybe if you send him a private message you might get a quicker response? hope you find what you're looking for

There is no wait in the states but in Canada its over a year and some places its 3 years!! wow!!!

I found an amazing surgeon 10 min from the peace bridge in buffalo new york that is doing my surgery. I am very lucky!!
