Hi all, New to this board but I am from Kitchener, ON Canada and having surgery in buffalo, NY. Has anyone who had OOC surgury gotten any bills or is it ALL covered by OHIP. Thanks Corinne!  |

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.  |

Thanks for the welcome!!  OOC stands for Out OF Country. Since I am from Canada and the wait is really long I opted to go the States for Surgury. OHIP stands for Ontario Health Insurance PLan. Its something we get in Canada. So if there is anyone from Canada on here I would like to know if you did get a bill even though OHIP is covering your surgery. thanks Corinne |

Thanks for your help!! I am so happy for the support on here. There is no wait in the states but in Canada its over a year and some places its 3 years!! wow!!! I found an amazing surgeon 10 min from the peace bridge in buffalo new york that is doing my surgery. I am very lucky!! Corinne |
